How to create your café workspace, define initial stations, and start your first gaming session with zero hardware investment.

1. Create your master café account

Visit the SaaS registration portal. Enter your café name, venue address, and contact number. Your workspace immediately initializes on the Free Forever tier (up to 6 stations).

2. Bookmark the Live Ops desk on your reception device

Rez Game runs in Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox on any PC, laptop, iPad, or Android tablet. No heavy local server or database software installation needed.

Recommended: Add bookmark to browser bookmarks bar for instant shift access.

3. Run your first trial session

Click on any vacant station, choose a duration (e.g. 60 minutes), and start the timer. Watch the server-synchronized countdown begin in real time.

1. Zero-bloat client policy

Unlike legacy LAN software (Smartlaunch, CafeSynk) that installs invasive kernel-level desktop agents, Rez Game runs purely from your reception desk. Your gaming PCs keep 100% of their GPU/RAM performance.

2. Anti-cheat safety (Valorant Vanguard, Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye)

Because no third-party client background process monitors client memory, gamers will never receive false-positive bans or anti-cheat conflicts in Valorant, CS2, Fortnite, or Apex Legends.

Pro-Tip: Gaming PCs do not require static IP configuration or port forwarding.

3. Adding PC stations to the desk

From Stations > Add Station, label machines as 'PC-01', 'PC-02' with station specs (e.g. RTX 4070 / 240Hz) and assign their hourly rate cards.

1. Create TV / Console Booth designations

Add stations categorized as 'PS5' or 'Xbox Series X'. Label them by booth or screen (e.g., 'PS5-Booth-1 (65" OLED)', 'PS5-VIP-Sofa').

2. Configure controller multiplier rates

Set up per-player pricing: e.g. 1 Player (Solo) = ₹120/hr; 2 Players (FIFA / WWE / Mortal Kombat) = ₹160/hr (₹80/player); 4 Players = ₹240/hr (₹60/player).

Rule Example: 2 controllers auto-calculates correct billing without receptionist math mistakes.

3. Optional: Station games catalog assignment

Tag available games installed on each console booth (e.g., GTA V, EA FC 26, Spider-Man 2) so walk-in players scanning the counter QR code see exactly what games are loaded.

1. Define base hourly rates per station tier

Set different rates for Standard PCs vs VIP High-End PCs vs Racing Simulators vs PS5 booths.

2. Set up Duration Time-Packs

Create prepaid time blocks: 1 Hour, 2 Hours (+15 min bonus), 3 Hours Pack, Night Owl Package (11 PM - 6 AM).

3. Automated Peak Hour Windows

Configure peak rules (e.g. Friday 6:00 PM to Sunday 11:59 PM). The desk automatically applies the peak tariff during these hours and reverts during weekday afternoons.

Peak pricing prevents reception staff from forgetting to adjust rates during busy weekend footfall.

1. Generate and print your Permanent Café QR Poster

From the 'QR Poster' tab in your dashboard, download your high-resolution café QR poster. Print and display it at reception and on station desks.

2. Customer walk-in check-in flow

Gamers scan the counter poster with their phone camera (no mobile app download required). Their mobile browser immediately opens their café identity card.

3. Live Session countdown on customer phones

Once staff starts their machine, the customer can glance at their own phone to see remaining match minutes, current bill amount, and café snacks menu.

Add your popular snacks (e.g. Red Bull, Cold Coffee, Maggie Noodles, Chips) with retail selling price and inventory count.

2. Attach food orders directly to an active station

When a gamer orders a drink from station PC-04, staff clicks 'Add Snack' on PC-04's card and selects the item. The snack total is immediately appended to that station's bill.

3. Single unified invoice on checkout

When the session finishes, clicking 'End & Pay' generates one single itemized receipt with gaming hours and snack charges clearly separated.

Eliminates counter cash register leakage and forgotten snack tabs.

Security & Team

Staff Sub-Accounts, Roles & Shift Security

Giving attendants their own restricted logins so master revenue settings and pricing rules remain protected.

1. Create staff login accounts

From Staff Management, create accounts for front-desk attendants with individual usernames and 4-digit security PINs.

2. Enforce restricted role permissions

Staff can start, extend, and stop gaming sessions, and record cash/UPI payments. Staff CANNOT alter station hourly rates, delete past revenue history, or access owner bank settings.

3. Shift changeover audit log

At the end of an 8-hour shift, view the Shift Summary to reconcile cash in the counter drawer against digital UPI payments recorded on that attendant's shift.

1. Why timers never lose track of time

Rez Game countdown timers run on server UTC clocks, not local browser javascript. If broadband drops for 10 minutes, session clocks continue ticking accurately in the cloud.

2. Failover to phone 4G/5G hotspot in 30 seconds

If local fiber snaps, enable your smartphone hotspot and connect your reception laptop or iPad. The entire Rez Game desk uses under 20 KB/hour.

Pro-Tip: Even 2G/3G mobile speeds are plenty fast to start and stop sessions.

3. Power outage / UPS recovery

If a sudden power trip reboots your counter PC, simply turn it back on and reopen your browser tab. All active stations restore immediately to their exact remaining time.

Fast resolutions for common reception questions, session splits, and cache refreshes.

1. A customer wants to move from PC-02 to PC-06

From the Live Ops card on PC-02, select 'Transfer Station' and pick the vacant PC-06. The remaining minutes and active snack tabs transfer automatically.

2. Customer wants to split bill among 2 friends

On checkout, choose 'Split Bill'. Input individual payments (e.g. ₹100 via UPI and ₹100 in Cash) to close the transaction accurately.

3. Counter browser cache refresh

If you update station rates and they don't reflect immediately, perform a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, Cmd + Shift + R on Mac).
